Labbaik eSIM sells prepaid mobile data for Saudi Arabia, to people travelling for Hajj and Umrah. That is all we do — one country, one kind of traveller.

Why we started this

Everyone who has made this journey remembers the same feeling — stepping off a long flight, exhausted, desperate to tell your family you have landed safely, and instead finding yourself in a SIM card queue at the airport, fumbling with a tray tool for a piece of plastic you will throw away in two weeks. Then the message from your home network a few days later, telling you what roaming has cost you.

We wanted that first moment in Saudi Arabia to be simple: land, connect, message home. No queue, no card to insert, no roaming bill waiting for you when you get back. An eSIM makes that possible — it installs before you even leave home and switches itself on the moment you arrive. For the amount of data most Umrah trips actually need, it costs less than the local networks too.

Who is behind it

Labbaik eSIM is a family-run business, started by people who are pilgrims first and a business second. Everyone involved has performed Hajj or Umrah, and we built this for the same journey we have taken ourselves and intend to take again — this is not a market someone studied from the outside, it is one we have stood in personally, SIM-less and searching for a queue, more times than we would like to admit.

That closeness to the journey is not a marketing line, and it changes practical things. It is why the plans are priced in the sizes people actually use for a two-week Umrah rather than a month-long holiday. It is why we tell you plainly that networks around the Haramain slow down at prayer times during Hajj, instead of promising speeds nobody can deliver. It is why our compatibility page warns about phones bought abroad, which is a normal thing in our community and an edge case to everyone else.

What we promise

• Fair pricing for the data pilgrims actually use. Our 5GB plans and below cost less than the same amount from STC, Zain or Mobily — comfortably enough data for most Umrah trips. If you need a lot more than that, calls, or a Saudi number, a local SIM may work out cheaper for you, and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong plan.
• No surprises. You pay once, up front. Nothing renews automatically, and there is no bill afterwards.
• Straight answers. If your phone will not work with an eSIM, we would rather tell you before you buy than refund you afterwards.

What we don’t promise

We are a small business, not a network. We do not own masts in Saudi Arabia — we resell capacity, so coverage and speed are whatever the local networks provide on the day. During Hajj, with millions of people in a few square kilometres, everything slows down. Any provider telling you otherwise is guessing or hoping.

We are also not a 24-hour call centre. Support is email, answered by people rather than a script, and we would rather say that than advertise a response time we cannot keep.

The business
